In celebrating its return to the Miami Grand Prix, IWC has revealed the latest iteration of its IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Paired with a Miami Pink rubber strap that references the city’s vibrant color palette, the campaign also stars Lewis Hamilton modeling the timepiece.
Similar to the first model that was introduced for Miami Prix in 2022, the new chronograph is also crafted from lightweight yet incredibly robust grade 5 titanium — a material that is widely used in motorsports. The matte black dial with Petronas’ iconic green luminous markings also makes a return, complete with a special green-hued imprint encircling the open caseback.
As indicated in its name, the timepiece comes in a 41mm case size with 10 ATM water resistance. Powering the timepiece is the in-house automatic calibre 69385, which beats the standard chronograph rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, complete with 46 hours of power reserve.

To celebrate the tenth year of its partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team, IWC just launched a new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 complete with a “Miami Pink” rubber strap.
The launch is timely: the second Miami Grand Prix will kick off this week. Here, members of the Mercedes-AMG F1 team will reference the sun-kissed lifestyle and vibrant colors of the city’s Ocean Drive with electric pink details on their gloves and shoes. The complementary pink strap was designed to fit in with the rest of the vibrant kit.
IWC debuted the watch as the first official team timepiece at 2022’s inaugural Miami Grand Prix. The first edition featured a slightly more subtle green rubber strap, matching the accents on the dial. Now, we get the addition of a bold pink strap as well as the option of a more neutral black calfskin, both of which can be easily swapped to the piece’s quick-change system.
Aside from the eye-catching new strap, the new watch is largely unchanged from the original. It features a sturdy yet lightweight grade 5 titanium case. IWC prides itself as one of the industry leaders in the implementation of titanium, debuting one of the first titanium watches on the market back in the ’80s. Inside, you’ll find the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber movement. This robust chronograph offers a column-wheel construction with 242 parts and is visible through the sapphire caseback. In addition, its bi-directional pawl winding system builds up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring.
Ahead of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix from 5-6 May, IWC Schaffhausen is celebrating its partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team in a colourful way. In keeping with Miami’s sun-kissed lifestyle and reflecting the vibrant colours of Ocean Drive, IWC has unveiled Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 in pink.
The eye-catching colour will also accompany the team’s appearance at the upcoming race at the Miami International Autodrome. Pink will feature on the gloves and shoes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. The team watch on the pink s trap will also be worn by team members present at the race in Miami.
2023 marks a full decade since IWC Schaffhausen became the official engineering partner of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. First coming together in 2013, IWC commemorated this successful partnership just last year with the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
