TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 lineup of smartwatches was announced last year and now the company is introducing three new additions to the family. As one would expect, all are quite expensive, with the 42mm option being the cheapest, The 42mm is smaller than the original but employs a 1.28-inch display with a virtually bezel-less panel protected by a sapphire dome glass. It’s still an OLED, though, with 416 x 416px resolution.

The body is made of black-coated grade 2 titanium chassis, making it the lightest smartwatch from the company. The 42mm Golf Edition, on the other hand, features the same body, but it’s also more expensive at $2,500 as it comes with three TAG Heuer-branded golf balls and two pairs of straps. One made of black leather with green stitching and one white rubber strap.

Additionally, the watch “supports” 40,000 golf courses around the globe, allowing automatic tracking without any manual input. The watch can track your score, what golf club you are using as well as your location on the golf course. The Calibre E4 Sports Edition is the priciest of the bunch, asking $2,600, but it’s also the biggest one. It’s in a 45mm form factor, just like the current Connected Calibre E4 models, with a ceramic bezel around the 1.39-inch 454 x 454px OLED display and a breathable rubber strap suitable for sports.

On the software front, the Sport Edition offers Trail & Hiking feature, leveraging the watch’s barometer and assessing one’s performance.

TAG Heuer will be making all three models available later this month and promises to update them to Wear OS 3, once Google starts seeding the new software. With its urban, sporty, and elegant all-black aesthetic, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 in matte black sandblasted DLC Grade 2 titanium has quickly become the most successful style of this collection, alongside the unmatched Golf Edition. With the introduction of a smaller 42-mm size in 2022, joining the original 45 mm assortment, it was only natural that TAG Heuer would now also add a full-black option in this universally appreciated diameter. With its signature chronograph-inspired design, which includes a black steel rotating crown and matching pushers used for interface navigation, refined watchmaking finishes, and a high-end digital experience with a wide range of watch faces and personalization options, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42 mm confirms its pioneering and leading role in the luxury connected watch category.

Paired with a smooth black rubber interchangeable strap with a black titanium folding clasp, ideal for elegant daily wear as well as any sporting activity, it offers outstanding ergonomics, comfort, and refinement. Its large 1.28″ OLED screen is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, echoing the brand’s mechanical watch excellence. The watch’s case back is also made of black DLC Grade 2 titanium and houses the heart-rate sensor in its center. In short, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42 mm black titanium and the 42 mm Golf Edition are the lightest connected watches ever developed by TAG Heuer, with this specific watch serving as a very elegant piece for anyone with an active lifestyle. The watch blends seamlessly into all aspects of their life, either by keeping them connected during their working hours or recording their fitness or yoga sessions, while also tracking their daily activities in the wellness tracker.

Both men and women will benefit from the impressive offering of the TAG Heuer Connected’s digital services, custom timing apps, and wellness and performance features, including the recently launched Trail and Hiking activities with precise altitude tracking.

Wearers will be able to benefit from every functionality available on the other models, access to all sports tracking for instance, such as Running, Cycling, Walking, Swimming, and different Fitness activities, including the seven-minute workout with guided coaching directly on the watch.

And, of course, all functionalities related to Golf are available as well so the wearer can enjoy their time on the course to the fullest.

The wearer can also choose from the many interchangeable strap designs sold separately. Versatile digital or mechanical-inspired watch faces are available to download, as well as the NFT and image viewer dial, so the wearer can perfectly match their TAG Heuer Connected to their individual styles and needs.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42 mm in black titanium runs on Wear OS by Google and will be compatible with the upcoming Wear OS 3 software update, which will be made available shortly. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42 mm in black titanium will be available from mid-February 2023 on the brand’s e-commerce websites, in stores, and at select retail partners
